WordPress non-profit releases exams for their Design Management Course

[Tahlequah, OK] – Today CertifyWP released the beginner, intermediate, and expert exams for their WordPress and Design Management credential. The launch of this credential is in direct need to certify proficiency in hiring WordPress professionals within some hiring organizations. The benefit, though, is for all hiring organizations to ascertain proficiency in hiring.

Over the last year, CertifyWP has worked to create a WordPress credential that makes tech careers more accessible. The credentialing process is open to anyone and is designed to help job seekers convey proficiency in WordPress. Education by way of online courses will follow within the next year, helping those looking for jobs in WordPress to both learn the software as well as become credentialed in its use.

The goal for CertifyWP is to create a standardized level of proficiency in WordPress. Credentials give a professional an advantage in the hiring process, as they provide evidence to employers that a candidate has the skills they claim. This can also affect pay negotiations in some cases.

“Overall it helps hiring managers know a job candidate’s baseline skill level,” says Talisha Lewallen; Founder and Board President of CertifyWP. “It also helps freelance and contract workers be able to show potential clients that they know what they are capable of doing. They have been certified by the industry to do the work they claim.”

CertifyWP has begun the process of obtaining US non-profit (US 501(c)3) status, and has assembled a Board of Directors to oversee the credentialing process.
